Treaty Oak Clean Energy, a US independent power producer, announced that it has closed financing and commenced construction on two major solar projects in Louisiana: the Beekman Solar Project in Morehouse Parish and the Hollis Creek Solar Project in Sabine Parish. Both projects were originally developed by the ETX Upstream team during their tenured leadership of Galehead Development, including a pioneering MISO South market strategy, site selection powered by LandCommand®, and turnkey development from project conception through the late-stage sale of the project to Treaty Oak.

The projects recently closed a $809 million financing package and will provide solar to Meta Platforms through recently announced long-term offtake agreements. Other project partners include SMBC, Blattener, Dashiell, First Solar, Primoris, Beta Engineering and Nextpower.

“Closing the financing for these two projects during a challenging economic year for renewable energy projects underscores our strong business model and commitment to bringing energy independence to states like Louisiana.” Chris Elrod, Treaty Oak CEO

Both projects are expected to achieve commercial operations in the first half of 2027.

Congratulations to the Treaty Oak team, their project partners, and ETX Upstream/Galehead alumni that contributed to these projects’ incredible success!
