Treaty Oak Clean Energy, a US independent power producer, announced that its Redfield Solar Project in Grant County, Arkansas has achieved commercial operations. The 100 MW, 1,033-acre utility-scale solar facility delivers clean energy across the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) region under a 15-year power purchase agreement with Google, supporting data centers across the MISO footprint. The Redfield Solar Project was originally developed by the ETX Upstream team during their tenured leadership of Galehead Development, including a pioneering MISO market strategy, site selection powered by LandCommand®, and turnkey development from project conception through the late-stage sale of the project to Treaty Oak.
The project closed $123 million in financing in December 2024 and broke ground in early 2025, creating approximately 200 construction jobs in the local community.
"Reaching commercial operation at the Redfield Solar Project underscores Treaty Oak's ability to deliver scalable clean energy projects that strengthen grid reliability while creating real economic impact at the local level. As our first operational asset, the Redfield Solar Project reflects not only our team's commitment to responsible development, but also the collaboration and trust built with local stakeholders and our contractors along the way." - Chris Elrod, Co-Founder & CEO
Congratulations to the Treaty Oak team, their project partners, and the ETX Upstream/Galehead alumni that contributed to this project's incredible success!
